Mrs. Stockton and the Women of the American Revolution

FORKED RIVER – Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by learning the stories of women’s contributions during the Revolution at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 24 at the Lacey Branch of the Ocean County Library.

Historian performer Alisa Dupuy of the Ladies of History will play Revolutionary War heroine Annis Boudinot Stockton as she regales attendees with stories of important women of all creeds who participated in the Cause. Stockton was also a published poet, and attendees will hear samples of her poetry and know her feelings about Washington and the war.
