TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Township Council has a special meeting set for 6 p.m. Wednesday for two pieces of its affordable housing plan.

Two ordinances for pieces of the plan — one for Jamestowne Village apartments and one for Highland Park senior apartments — will have public hearings and final votes.

The Jamestowne Village ordinance would approve changing the property to the EMF23 Multifamily zone, and allow the property owners to build six additional buildings while providing 42 affordable housing units.

The Highland Park ordinance would extend an existing agreement on the 110-unit low-income senior apartment complex that allows the owners to make a payment in lieu of property taxes in exchange for the low-income rent restrictions.
