Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Network Names Deanna Sperling Chief Operating Officer

Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Network has recently named Deanna Sperling, M.A.S., R.N., C.N.A., B.C., chief operating officer. In this position, Sperling will work with the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Network team to develop and enhance its statewide psychiatric programs and services.
Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Network is New Jersey's largest integrated system of behavioral health care, providing services at Clara Maass Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center, Kimball Medical Center and Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center.
A veteran in the behavioral health field, Sperling has served as an employee of Barnabas Health for more than 25 years. Most recently, she served as vice president of Patient Care Services to the nursing divisions at both Kimball Medical Center and Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center. Prior to that, she was Director of Nursing for the behavioral health facility, as well as supervisor and charge nurse for several care units.

Sperling graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a master’s degree in administrative science and is a nursing graduate of St. James Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Hornell, NY. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Bloomfield College, NJ and is board-certified in nursing administration by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Sperling serves as President of the Organization of Nurse Executives of New Jersey and is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. She is a resident of Lakewood, NJ.
