TOMS RIVER, NJ -- Toms River's eateries have suddenly become fashionable with The Food Network.
On Monday, JenniCakes and its owner, Jennifer Richmond were featured on the network's show "Cake Wars," a competition among bakers that showcases their confectionary talents.
Tonight, Wednesday, March 30, it's Rivoli's Italian and Seafood Restaurant garnering a spotlight on "Mystery Diners," according to the Asbury Park Press.

The show uses hidden cameras and decoy diners to give restaurant owners a bird's eye view of what goes on at their establishments when they are not present.
The episode featuring the Fischer Boulevard restaurant, which is scheduled for 11 p.m., resulted from concerns owner Tony Rivoli had about the source of meat being sold to the restaurant, according to the Asbury Park Press. It was filmed in October. The episode airs again at 2 a.m. Thursday, according to the network.

Viewers who watched "Cake Wars" on Monday night were treated to an insider's look at how Richmond and her staff make their beautiful creations and the attention to detail that goes into the cakes they deliver to customers.
While Richmond's final creation -- dinosaurs at the circus -- may not have won the overall competition (she was edged out by a baker from Los Angeles), her attention to detail on her dinosaurs drew praise throughout from Jesse Daniel from the National History Museum of Los Angeles, who was a guest judge on the show. He especially praised her variety of dinosaurs on the final cake, which included a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a triceratops, a velociraptor and a pair of pterodactyls.
If you missed Cake Wars, it airs again Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m.
