UPDATE: German Shepherd Reunited With Family

Female German shepherd found running loose was taken to the Toms River animal shelter, according to a Twitter post.

UPDATED, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday: The female German shepherd that was taken to the Toms River animal shelter on Monday has been reunited with her owners.

Shelter officials said the dog was retrieved by her owner on Tuesday morning. She had been adopted recently by the family and got loose accidentally, official said.

If so, check with the Toms River Animal Shelter. This female German shepherd was found Monday running loose near the Garden State Parkway and Route 37 in Toms River, according to a post on Twitter by @LostFoundPetsNJ.

She was wearing a pink collar but had no tags, according to the tweet.

The shelter, at 235 Oak Ave., behind the Toms River Police Department, can be contacted by calling 732-341-1000 x7300.
