Back to School: Toms River Regional Schools 2022-23 Calendar

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Families are getting started on their back-to-school planning, and here are important dates for the school year for students in the Toms River Regional School District.

The first day of school for students in Toms River, Beachwood, Pine Beach and South Toms River is Tuesday. Sept. 6.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

First Day: Tuesday, Sept. 6

Sept. 26: School closed, Rosh Hashanah

Oct. 5: School closed, Yom Kippur

Nov. 7-11: School closed, fall break (Election Day, Teacher Convention)

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-25 (Early dismissal Nov. 23)

Winter Break: Dec. 24-Jan. 2 (Early dismissal Dec. 23)

Jan. 16: School closed, Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Feb. 20: School closed, Presidents' Day

Spring Break: April 7-14

May 29: School closed, Memorial Day

June 6: Remote instruction due to Primary Elections

Last Day: June 16 (tentative)

The Toms River Regional Schools calendar includes 180 days for students, with no emergency closure days built in for winter weather or other issues. If any emergency school days are needed, they will be deducted from subsequent days and/or added to the end of the year as half days beginning June 21. These adjustments may affect events and marking period dates.
