Bey Lea Golf Course Set To Close For Winter In Toms River

The golf course, which closes annually during the winter, was on pace for a record amount of revenue, Toms River officials said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Golfers have just another 10 days to tee it up at Bey Lea Golf Course in Toms River for 2022, the township announced.

The course will be closing for the winter as of 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 11, Toms River officials announced.

The annual closure protects the grass, which goes dormant in the cold, and it also allows for maintenance projects that cannot be completed while golfers are actively using the course, officials said. This winter, crews will be working on the sand traps, among other projects, business administrator Louis Amoruso said.
