Brick Man Shot To Death In Toms River Identified
Breaking: Steven E. Stallworth died of a single gunshot wound, the medical examiner ruled. Authorities are seeking tips about what happened.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Authorities have released the name of a Brick Township man who was found shot to death outside a Toms River apartment complex on Monday evening.
The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said the Ocean County medical examiner ruled the death of Steven E. Stallworth, 30, of Brick, a homicide following Tuesday's autopsy.
Stallworth was found outside Building D at the Hampton Gardens Apartments on James Street with a gunshot wound and unresponsive when Toms River police and EMS responded to a 911 call about 9:20 p.m. on Monday, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the prosecutor's office.

Stallworth was pronounced dead at the scene aty 10:34 p.m., Della Fave said. The medical examiner ruled he died of a single gunshot wound, he said.
Investigators are encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or who has information about the killing to contact them. Anonymous tips are welcome, he said.
