BEACHWOOD, NJ — Later this afternoon the traffic along Route 9 will begin to swell as folks begin heading to spots along the Toms River to settle in for the annual Beachwood Fireworks on the Toms River.
The show, which has survived the economic pressures that resulted in many towns canceling annual displays, continues to be a huge draw every year, not only for land-based viewers but also for boaters, who cruise up the river for the event.

The event annually draws 10,000 people to Beachwood, but the display can be seen from a number of spots along the river, and it's accompanied by music broadcast on 92.7 FM WOBM.

The Facebook Live event will begin when the fireworks are about to go off. Check the Toms River Patch Facebook page and the Berkeley Township Patch Facebook page for the livestream.
And take a few minutes to support Beachwood's show, which costs the borough roughly $20,000. They receive support from organizations and companies like JCP&L and the Toms River Country Club, the mayor said, but support from others who enjoy the show helps.
