Celebrate Halloween With A Free Hayride In Toms River

With the Halloween season in full swing, what’s better than a hayride?

How about a free hayride?

The Toms River Township Department of Recreation, in conjunction with the township’s Division of Youth Services, is hosting a free Halloween hayride on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Bey Lea Golf Course.

The hayride is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. and will include refreshments. Children ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult, officials said.

And the organizers are asking that each person bring a canned or boxed food item to be donated to the People’s Pantry of Toms River.

Additional parking and shuttles will be available at Bey Lea Park and the Veterans Recreation Complex.

The event is co-­sponsored by the Toms River Municipal Alliance with funding from the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.
