Central Ocean Rotary Raising Funds For Veterans' Service Dogs
A pancake fundraiser at Applebee's this Saturday is among the efforts to raise funds to provide three veterans with dogs.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — For veterans struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, a service dog can become a lifeline to being able to live a normal life.
The costs to properly train a service dog, however, can exceed $15,000. As a result, the Central Ocean Rotary Club of Toms River is helping its Rotary district raise funds to help provide three service dogs to veterans in need of support.
A pancake breakfast at Applebee's in Toms River on Saturday, June 2, is being held to further that effort. The fundraiser runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Applebee's at the Ocean County Mall, 1201 Hooper Ave. Tickets are $15 and include a breakfast pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and a beverage (coffee, juice, soda or tea).
