'Chicago PD' Regular Brian Geraghty Comes Home To Toms River

Actor Brian Geraghty plays a police officer on television, but on a visit home to Toms River on Saturday, the “Chicago PD” cast member got a brief look at some of the work Ocean County’s detectives do.

Geraghty, a 1993 graduate of Toms River High School East, was given a tour of Tina’s House, Ocean County’s own special victims unit, designed to do everything possible to make child victims of sexual abuse feel safe while an investigation is occurring. He toured the facility with Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato on Saturday.

On ”Chicago PD,” Geraghty is a new addition to the cast this season. He plays Sean Roman, a new uniform cop partnered with Kim Burgess, played by Marina Squerciati. Geraghty also had a recurring role as Agent Warren Knox on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” as well as appearances in Showtime’s “Ray Donovan” and HBO’s “True Blood.” He also has had roles in the movies “The Hurt Locker,” “Flight” and “Jarhead.”
