Ciba-Geigy Hearing With NJDEP On Tap

The NJDEP is hosting the public comment session and will take questions about the proposed settlement with BASF at the meeting.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is scheduled to hold a public meeting on its proposed natural resources damage settlement with BASF Monday evening.

The session, set for 6 p.m. in the auditorium at Toms River High School North on Old Freehold Road, will include additional information about the proposed natural resources damages settlement, NJDEP officials said.

NJDEP officials also will be on hand to take questions from the public about the proposed settlement, which was initially announced Dec. 5 and has subjected the department to intense criticism in the days since.
