Clowns have been in town since Sept. 10 preparing for the event

They’re back!

Superstorm Sandy may have put the kibosh on Clownfest last year. But the rubber-nosed pranksters will return to Seaside Heights this weekend for the 33rd annual “Clownfest” festival on Saturday and Sunday.

“Seaside Heights is a special home for us clowns,” said Vincent A. Pagliano - aka VAPPO the Clown - Chairman of the National Clown Arts Project, which is producing the event. “This boardwalk holds traditions of making people happy and our clowns make it all happen.”
