Connect With Your Child's Toms River School Through Parent App
The Toms River Regional Schools are using a new app to communicate with parents and guardians for the 2023-24 school year.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Regional School District has launched a new system to communicate with parents and guardians for the 2023-24 school year, using an app called ParentSquare.
The app allows parents and guardians to receive messages from their child's school via email, text or app notifications and allows you to choose whether to receive them as they are sent or in a daily digest format.
It allows parents to communicate one-on-one with their children's teacher or other district staff with real-time translation into more than 100 languages, according to the app's maker.

Parents will be able to keep track of news, activities and events from all their children’s schools in one place.
The hope and the goal, Superintendent Michael Citta said, is to improve communication between the district and families and increase family involvement.

"Effective internal and school-to-home communication has never been more important, which is why we’ve made the transition to ParentSquare," Citta said. "We’re looking forward to reaching 100 percent of our families no matter where they are, unifying all of our communications tools, and adopting a more consolidated, seamless, and fun platform on which to connect."
The district has created a webpage dedicated to ParentSquare with information about what you can do in the app and how the district can communicate with you.
ParentSquare can be accessed on a smartphone or on your computer, and Toms River Regional will be sending out direct welcome and initial sign-on invitations.
