Death of Seaside Heights Mayor's Son Labeled Suspicious
William R. Akers was found dead early Thursday, according to reports

Authorities are awaiting a report from the medical examiner’s office on the cause of death of the son of Seaside Heights Mayor Bill Akers, which they have labeled suspicious, according to a report on APP.com.
William R. Akers, 29, died Thursday, a ccording to the obituary. Authorities told the Asbury Park Press that he was found dead at 3:25 a.m. in a home in Seaside Heights. A man has been arrested for drug distribution in connection with the investigation and authorities are awaiting a medical examiner’s report to see if that person had any connection with Akers’ death, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
Narcotics were found at the scene, Della Fave said.
