Dense Fog Affecting Local Roads: National Weather Service

Breaking: The Mount Holly office issued the advisory for Ocean and western and eastern Monmouth County.

Authorities are urging motorists to use caution Monday morning due to dense fog on the roads throughout Ocean and Monmouth counties.

The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m. for Ocean and Monmouth counties and points south and west of those areas. So for those traveling north, the fog should clear sooner. For those traveling south or to the Philadelphia area, the fog warning covers those places as well.

Dense fog means visibility is reduced to a quarter-mile or less; authorities urge motorists slow down, leave more space between themselves and other vehicles and to use their headlights.
