Dog Dies After House Fire In Beachwood
The dog was rescued from the burning home but ultimately did not survive, officials said.
BEACHWOOD, NJ — A family's dog died Saturday after a fire damaged a house in Beachwood, fire officials said.
The fire on the 200 block of Longboat Avenue was reported about 12:10 p.m., the Beachwood Fire Department said.
The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters from Beachwood and the Pine Beach Fire Department, and there were no injuries to humans, fire officials said.

The dog was rescued from the home by firefighters but ultimately did not survive, fire officials said.
The Manitou Park, Pinewald and Bayville fire companies provided mutual aid, and Beachwood EMS and and South Toms River EMS assisted, the fire company said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office.
