Downtown Toms River Water Main Project+Boy Scout Land Purchase
Here's a look at what's ahead in Toms River this week and headlines you may have missed last week.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A $5 million water main replacement project is set to begin Monday in downtown Toms River.
The project, announced last week by Suez, will affect some of the main roads, including Washington Street and Hooper Avenue, as the water company replaces 3 miles of water main. Read more about the project below.
The Toms River Township Council is scheduled for a final hearing and vote to approve the purchase of the property that currently belongs to the Jersey Shore Council of the Boy Scouts when the township council meets Tuesday.
The council also is scheduled to honor P. David Correll, the longtime announcer and school historian for the Toms River Schools.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday and the agenda can be found here.
The council meeting is the only one of note for this week in Toms River. The Planning Board is scheduled to meet Oct. 6.
