Easter Weekend In Seaside Heights Means Beach Badges, Pier Passes, And A Parade

Breaking: Whether you want to stock up on ride booklets for Casino Pier or strut your stuff in your Easter finest, Seaside Heights is ready.

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — Balmy temperatures. Games of chance. The sound of children's laughter and the taste of boardwalk favorites.

It may not quite be summer, but this weekend in Seaside Heights will be your chance to prepare for a summer of fun.

In addition to the annual Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach preseason ride booklet sale, the borough of Seaside Heights will have its beach badges available for purchase.

And don't forget the annual Easter Promenade, where you can dress in your finest Easter outfits and parade on the boardwalk to show off your zest for spring and attempt to win prizes.

Seaside Heights beach badges for 2017 will be on sale Saturday at the Kearny Avenue headquarters from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday, the badges will be sold at the visitor center at Blaine Avenue on the boardwalk, again from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Casino Pier's Easter sale will be going on Friday through Sunday on the pier. (The passes also are on sale online now through Monday.) The pier sales booths will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday, the annual Easter Promenade takes place, with registration for the :best dressed" contest beginning at 10 a.m. at the visitor center on the boardwalk at Blaine Avenue. Winners receive cash prizes and children from infants to age 12 are welcome to participate. There also are categories for best dressebd family, couple, woman, man, and twins.

"In keeping with tradition, the mayor and council members will distribute gorgeous carnations to the ladies while they stroll the Classic American Boardwalk," the borough announced.

The Easter Bunny will be in attendance and entertainment will be provided by the Polka Dots following the best dressed contest.
