
Duo Caramba: From Europe to the Caribbean Flute
and Classical Guitar Concert. Duo Caramba will explore the contrast between Baroque grandeur and Modern inventiveness in music by the German master J. S. Bach and the Puerto Rican avant-garde composer Roberto Sierra. Other composers include the legendary Spanish Romantic Enrique Granados and contemporary stars Eduardo Martín from Cuba and Máximo Diego Pujol from Argentina.

Flutist, Carla Auld is a soloist and chamber musician who actively promotes the performance and recording of new classical and cross-over music by New York area and international composers. Ms. Auld is a founding member of the ensemble UpTown Flutes, winners of the Artist International Chamber Music Award, which included a performance at Carnegie Hall in 2002. Carla Auld holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Temple University and has studied with Julius Baker, Bernard Goldberg, Robert Dick and Gerardo Levy. As an educator herself, she is a
founding member of the NJ Flute Choir Day and was part of the project's coaching team from 1995-2008. She also maintains a private studio in her home.

Guitarist, Ana María Rosado has concertized extensively in the United States, the Far East, and through Latin America as Artistic Ambassador for the USIA. Her debut CD was released on the Albany Records label; We’ve got
(poly)rhythm, and was critically acclaimed. An independently produced CD; Salsa and other beats…was released in 2010; both recordings focus on new music from Latin American composers. Dr. Rosado is Assistant Professor of Music and Coordinator of Guitar studies at the New Jersey City University. Duo Caramba! perform regularly in the greater NY area.
