Pinelands Day at the Toms River Library

Pinelands Day will look at the ecology and folklore of the Pinelands and provide information and awareness of
the recreational opportunities to enjoy this landscape near and dear to residents and visitors.


Tours featuring the works of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance Photography Group will be conducted throughout the day.


Speakers include naturalist Ted Gordon as well folklorist and musician Jim Albertson, both sponsored by the Friends of the Toms River Branch. Pinelands Photography group members Anne-Marie Woods and Mike Baker will be giving presentations on how to take great photographs in the Pines. Jakes Branch County Park is also providing a children’s program.

Exhibitors of the informational fair include environmental and cultural groups, as well as recreational clubs such
as The Pinelands Preservation Alliance, Barnegat Bay Partnership, Well Mills County Park, Jakes Branch County Park, Boy Scouts of America Jersey Shore
Council and Girls Scouts of the Jersey Shore to name a few.
