Excavator Pulls Down Power Lines On Hooper Avenue In Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Authorities are investigating a crash on Hooper Avenue Friday afternoon where an excavator being hauled by a dump truck brought down wires and a utility pole, authorities said.

The crash happened about 3 p.m. near the intersection of Hooper Avenue and Edken Avenue, said Jillian Messina, media relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department.

The incident resulted in power outages in the area, she said.

There were no reported injuries.
