Exit 82 Co-Founder Speaking At Poseidon Series Tuesday

The series sponsored by the Toms River Green Team and the Toms River Schools continues Tuesday night.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Poseidon Academy TRUST Speaker Series continues Tuesday, May 21, at the Poseidon Academy in Toms River.

The series, sponsored by the Toms River Green Team in partnership with the Toms River Regional Schools, invites individuals to give presentations on environmental and sustainable topics such as the health of Barnegat Bay, green economy, storm water management, energy conservation and assistance programs, arts and the impact on the local economy and other similar topics.

Exit 82 co-founder Billy Cardone will be speak Tuesday on arts and culture in local economies.

Cardone is a Toms River native who is a graduate of Wagner College in Staten Island with a bachelor's degree in theater and a minor in business. He co-founded Exit 82 11 years ago while he was still in college and is its vice president and creative director to the company.

He also works at Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation as their community engagement manager, fundraising through grassroots initiatives and fundraising events.

Exit 82, which was founded in 2009, does shows and programming for adults and runs a Creative and Performing Arts Academy to educate the next generation of artists. Its rehearsal and educational studios are at 34 Main St. in downtown Toms River and performance venue is at 73 Main St.
