Football: Donovan Catholic Falls to St. John Vianney

Donovan Catholic has had a tough week.

First, its lone victory this season, against Pinelands, was wiped off the books over the use of a player who was not yet eligible to play. Then the Griffins had to face powerful St. John Vianney on Friday night in a nondivisional Shore Conference football game.

The Griffins scored 17 points but fell to the Lancers, 65-17, according to the Shore Sports Network.

Donovan Catholic (0-7) hosts Central Regional next Friday at 6:30 p.m. in a Class B South matchup.
