Football: Toms River North Falls to Brick Memorial On Late-Game Field Goal
Mariners fall to 1-1

Toms River North rallied from a touchdown deficit to take the lead, but couldn’t hold off a determined Brick Memorial squad, and the Mariners fell, 16-14, on a last-seconds field goal in a Shore Conference Class A South football game on Saturday.
Brick Memorial scored on its opening drive of the game, but the Mariners (1-1), who beat Lacey 30-14 last week, tied it on their first offensive play from scrimmage when Asante Moorer ran 65 yards for the touchdown.
Brick Memorial took a 13-7 lead in the fourth quarter, and Toms River North again replied, with Mike Husbi connecting with Jordan Craig for a touchdown. The point-after by Kyle Bayha gave North a 14-13 lead with 51 seconds left.
