Free Thanksgiving Dinners In Ocean County For Those In Need

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — If you or someone you know is in need of a hot meal for Thanksgiving, there are organizations providing meals for the needy on Thursday.

These are at several sites in Ocean County, and the meals are supported with donations from Fulfill.

10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Toms River, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1500 Hooper Ave. Curbside delivery only, call 732-255-4455 to reserve.

Noon: Toms River, Salvation Army/Hearty Helpings, 1738 Route 37. Takeout meals only.

Noon-3 p.m.: Point Pleasant Beach, St. Gregory's at Point Pleasant Elks Lodge, 820 Arnold Ave. Call 732-892-8105 for dine-in only.

1 p.m.: Lacey United Methodist Church, 203 West Lacey Road, Forked River. Community dinner in the dining hall.

1 p.m.-4 p.m.: Ocean Gate Church at Adrian Hall, 27 East Cape May Ave. Call 732-288-4706, 732-687-7546 or 732-814-3578 to register for indoor pickup or delivery.

2 p.m.-3 p.m.: Seaside Heights, Simon's Soup Kitchen, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Grant at Central avenues. Takeout meals only.

2:30 p.m.: Toms River, Ocean Christian Community Church, 405 Washington St. Takeout meals only.
