Girls Tennis - Shannon Young Toms River HS East - Most Valuable Player (MVP)

Shannon Young of Toms River High School East has received the MVP award for her outstanding Tennis Season. Shannon was undefeated this season and she is also a multiple Ocean County Tournament (OCT) Champion. This year she took home the crown at the 2nd Singles position for the 3rd time. Shannon’s remarkable high school career consists of 97 wins including an impressive Senior year with 24 wins which broke the Toms River High School East record at her position. Shannon has encountered many obstacles throughout her high school tennis career, but she was able to overcome the adversity she was faced with by proving herself on the Court through her tennis achievements.
