REMINDER: Route 9 Hearing Set For Tuesday

A public information session on the Route 9 Corridor Study will be held at the Ocean County Library.

Ocean County residents are invited to give their input on what should be done to improve Route 9 traffic and safety at a public meeting on the Route 9 Corridor Study conducted by the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority.

The meeting is Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 5-8 p.m. in the Mancini Room of the Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library. The meeting will include two presentations, at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., as well as opportunity for public comment.

The Route 9 Corridor Study ”will evaluate current and future traffic levels and operating issues between mileposts 94.8 in Toms River Township and 101.7 in Lakewood Township in a manner consistent with the federal Congestion Management Process,” according to information on the NJTPA website.
