Island Heights Baby Arrives With Help From Police, Medics

The little girl couldn't wait to make her appearance, so first responders helped her mom through the delivery.

ISLAND HEIGHTS, NJ — First responders in Island Heights started their Friday with joy, helping to deliver a healthy baby girl who decided to make her appearance before her mom could get to the hospital.

Details on the special delivery were limited, but Island Heights police said members of the police department, Island Heights First Aid and medics from MONOC assisted in the delivery that happened in a parked vehicle.
