Jersey Mike's 'Day Of Giving' In Toms River Aids Special Olympics
The sub sandwich chain is giving 100 percent of Wednesday's sales to help Special Olympians compete at the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — In the mood for a sub? Jersey Mike's is hoping millions of people will be on Wednesday for its annual "Day of Giving" where the company donates the proceeds from its sales to charity.
For 2022, Jersey Mike's is donating 100 percent of the sales today to the Special Olympics, with the goal of sending every qualifying athlete to the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando, Florida, from June 5 through 12.
The annual Day of Giving finishes out the company's Month of Giving that helps support charities of all kinds. In years past, Jersey Mike's supported charities on a more localized level, but this year is making a nationwide push for Special Olympics.

Buying subs at any of the Toms River locations will help support nearly 140 athletes from New Jersey who are hoping to compete. The locations below are open until 9 p.m.:
- 884 Fischer Blvd., Toms River
- Stella Plaza, 1840 Hooper Ave., Silverton
- 1 Route 37 West, Toms River
- Hooper Commons, 1362 Hooper Ave., Toms River
- 1311 Route 37 West, Toms River
"We support the organization's mission to foster inclusivity and help its athletes shine on and off the field. I invite everyone to join us and celebrate our country's Special Olympics athletes during the Month of Giving," said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike's founder and CEO.
