Lavallette Fireworks, Bicycle Parade Kick Off Fourth Of July Celebrations

The annual bike parade is open to kids and those who are kids at heart, and the concert and fireworks are sure to fuel your patriotic spirit

LAVALLETTE, NJ — Kick off the Fourth of July weekend in Lavallette by showing off your patriotic spirit in the annual Patriot Bike Parade.

The parade, sponsored by the Lavallette Business Association, starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, and it just one of many events in the area to celebrate the Fourth of July.

In Lavallette, the celebration continues on Sunday, July 2, with a concert and fireworks at the Lavallette Gazebo on the beach at Philadelphia Avenue.

The parade goes from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and is open to children and adults. "Trick out your bicycle with flag-inspired frills for this long-standing Fourth of July Lavallette tradition," the business association says. There will be face-painting and tattoos for the kids at the finish line. The parade, on the boardwalk, begins at President Avenue and ends at New York Avenue.

The concert on Sunday begins at 8 p.m. and the fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m.
