This program is part of our series of programs for the public as a partner in the Toms River School System's "NEA Big Read" grant. During the month of May, Ocean County Library is encouraging the Ocean County community to read this year's NEA Big Read, American Sunrise by Joy Harjo . The library is hosting several programs enhancing this read. The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. The goal of the grant program is to bring a community together in programming and conversation around a work of literature.
