Meet 'Walking Dead' Actor, Zombie Queen At Comic Book Show In Toms River
The Jersey Shore Comic Book Show will have cosplay contests, fan groups and much more.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you're a fan of "The Walking Dead" you need to mark Sunday, March 19 on your calendar.
Actor Christopher Weite from the hit show will appear at the Jersey Shore Comic Book Show in Toms River.
The comic book show, referred to as the "Biggest Little Con on the East Coast," is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 19 at the Toms River Elks Lodge on Washington Street.

In addition to the appearance by Weite, who was a walker on Season 4 of The Walking Dead, the show will feature a nunber of cosplay (costumed play) groups, including the Philadelphia Avengers, the 501st Star Wars Legion, NJ Ghostbusters and Carter Cosplay, organizers said.
"Cosplayers welcomed," the organizers said. A cosplay contest will be held at 2 p.m., "so don't be bashful, put on your favorite super hero (or villain) costume and join the fun."

There will be an Artists Lounge with your favorite artists, creators and writers of comics, and vendors offering comics from the Golden Age to Modern, non-sport cards, toys, graphic novels, DVDs, crafts and collectibles. Have your photo taken in a galaxy far, far away in the green screen photo booth. There will be hourly drawings for door prizes and a chance to win a Zombie Makeover by actress/makeup artist Carolyn Seibert, who's known as the Zombie Queen.
Girl Scouts will be selling Girl Scout cookies at the event as well.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and free for children younger than 12 years old.
