Moms Who Rock: Elisa Beth Kleva, Toms River

For more than 100 years, we have taken a day to honor mothers -- those women who care for others, whether it’s by virtue of having given birth or because they are simply giving souls who watch over all of those around them.

We gave our readers the chance to tell us about their mothers and what makes them special. Here is one of those nominations:

Elisa Beth Kleva, Toms River

My mom rocks because she is such a superstar. My mom is such an independent, strong woman who handles everything thrown her way. No matter what she has to do each day, whether it be laundry, cooking, cleaning, assisting her ill mother, or driving my brother Milan and I to our after-school activities of dance and soccer, she can handle it. I’ve never met a woman so strong and hardworking in my whole life and I aspire to be like her each and every day. I love her so much.

I feel my mom deserves the spotlight because she deserves to be recognized for her life accomplishments. I feel she is under-appreciated with what she does and I feel this would be a great way to show her we all love her and love what she does for us.
