Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Parkway Crash In Toms River
Two lanes were closed southbound in the Toms River area, authorities said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries Wednesday night in a crash on the Garden State Paekway in Toms River, New Jersey State Police said.
The crash was reported at 5:40 p.m. at milemarker 84.4 on the southbound side, Trooper Charles Marchand said.
The motorcyclist, whom police did not identify, was riding south on a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle when it hit rear of a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox.

As a result of the collision, the motorcycle overturned and the driver was thrown. The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries. No further information was available at the moment, police said.

Traffic was backed up to about exit 89 in Brick, according to 511nj.org, the DOT traffic site.
The Lakewood Scoop reported the accident involved a motorcyclist.
