TOMS RIVER, NJ — The 31st annual Toms River Vest-A-Cop fundraiser for the Toms River Police Department drew in lots of supporters for pizza and comradery at the Pizza Hut on Route 37 on Monday.

While the event drew lots of individual supporters, there were several groups that gathered their members to support the event. In addition to corporate sponsors who chipped in big donations for vest purchases, a local motorcycle club gathered its members to show support.

The group, called the Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club, Tri-Base Chapter, based out of Pemberton, pooled its resources and donated $2,700 to the Vest-A-Cop fund, providing enough money to purchase a vest for an officer and one for a K-9 officer as well.
