Motorcyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Toms River Crash: Police

Breaking: Fischer Boulevard traffic will be disrupted while the accident is investigated, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A motorcyclist is being treated for life-threatening injuries following a crash on Fischer Boulevard, and Toms River police are urging motorist to avoid the area for the next several hours.

Toms River police spokesman Ralph Stocco said the crash occurred on Fischer Boulevard near Glasgow Avenue about 2:20 p.m.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for treatment, Stocco said, but traffic will be affedte for the next several hours as officers conduct their investigation, he said.

Toms River Traffic Safety Officers David Bartoshek and Robert Westfall are conducting the investigation along with members of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, Stocco said.
