People who were born or married in Toms River can order copies of those records online, a new option being offered.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — People who were born in Toms River and need a copy of their birth certificate can now order it online.
The Toms River Township Registrar’s Office of Vital Statistics now offers the ability to order a copy of a vital record through the township's website.
The township's Office of Vital Statistics registers vital events and maintains records of births, deaths, civil unions, domestic partnerships and marriages that happened in Toms River starting in 1937.

These vital records are confidential and not accessible to the public. Under state law, the Registrar can issue a vital record only to certain people and they must establish their right to the record.

Certified copies of a vital record are $15 per copy, and an additional non-refundable $4 convenience and credit card processing fee will be applied to all online orders.
Allow 5-7 business days for your application to be processed and the vital record to be mailed to you. Postage is $1 for regular U.S. Postal Service mail.
