Neighborhood's Yard Sale an Annual Tradition

Every Memorial Day weekend, rain or shine, residents of the Weatherly section off Whitesville Road in Toms River bank on having a big yard sale.

Dozens of the households participate, and an estimated thousands of visitors come over Friday, Saturday and Sunday each year looking for deals on table after table of used merchandise.

This year, we spotted some telescopes, several dining room tables, vintage train sets, several closets worth of clothes...and that's just after an hour's walk through the neighborhood.

You can easily spend the day shopping the annual Weatherly yard sales, but if you do, bring change and wear comfortable shoes. With cars parked on both sides of the streets, be careful of pedestrians and allow for opposing traffic.
