New Jersey High School Football Scoreboard 2017
Check back here for updates on all the scores from this weekend's high school football games involving New Jersey teams.

After an "appetizer" weekend with about 20 games last week, the 2017 high school football season in New Jersey gets under way in earnest this weekend.
In the north part of the state, Wayne Hills is taking on Ramapo Friday at 7. Wayne Hills is one of several teams that headed out of state last week for games, and the Patriots came home from their trip to Ohio with a loss, so they'll be looking to turn that around. Ramapo did not play last week so this will be its season opener.
In Mercer County, two teams that played last week, Hamilton West and Lawrence, will take the field against each other for their second games of the season. Hamilton West hasn't gone 2-0 since 2011, according to NJ.com. Lawrence lost to Princeton last week and will be looking to even its record.

South Plainfield, coming off a trip to the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group III final, will open its 2017 campaign Friday against Perth Amboy.
Farther south, Central Regional and Toms River East will play Friday in Toms River. The two teams ended up in a fight last year when they played in Bayville and ejections cost Central a trip to the NJSIAA playoffs. There will be a lot of people keeping tabs and expecting them to be on their best behavior this year.
