'New' Name, New Kicker, And A Victory For Donovan Catholic
Converted soccer player boots game-winning field goal in team's season opener

Sophomore Gian Carlo Stigiliano kicked a 32-yard field goal with 9 seconds left in the game to give Donovan Catholic a season-opening victory over Pinelands, 10-7, Friday night in Toms River, according to the Asbury Park Press.
Stigliano, who was playing his first football game after 12 years of playing soccer, missed from 34 yards earlier in the game, but when the game was on the line, put the ball through the uprights.
Pinelands took a 7-0 lead on Conner Bussey’s 52-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, with Jon Kubricki kicking the point after.
