Ocean County College Closes Early Due To Storm
A state of emergency was issued ahead of the winter storm moving into Ocean County.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Ocean County College officials announced the college is closing at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, because of the incoming winter storm.
"All in-person activities scheduled after 3:30 are canceled at all campus locations," college officials said, including the main campus in Toms River and the Southern Education Center in Manahawkin.
A state of emergency issued by Gov. Phil Murphy takes effect at 5 p.m. as the storm is forecast to bring high winds to Ocean County, along with some possible coastal flooding.
