Ocean County Reschedules Coronavirus Testing Due To Storm
With strong winds and heavy rain expected most of the day, the testing set for Monday was postponed.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Ocean County residents who were scheduled for testing for the new coronavirus on Monday will have the opportunity to have their tests on Tuesday, Ocean County Health Department officials said, after Monday's testing was canceled due to the storm.
Anyone who had a test scheduled for Monday has been automatically rescheduled for Tuesday at the same reserved time.
People who need to cancel an appointment or would like to reschedule for the Wednesday or Friday testing dates can do so at the health department website or call 732-341-9700, ext. 7411.

If you are seeking a coronavirus test at the Ocean County College site, you must meet the following requirements:

- You must be an Ocean County resident and have identification;
- You must have a prescription from a health care practitioner;
- You must make an online appointment;
- You must be symptomatic.
The site is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, and as of Thursday, 1,513 Ocean County residents have been tested for coronavirus at the site.
"Because of the limited number of tests we have, it still remains imperative that people follow the requirements to be tested at the college," said Daniel Regenye, Ocean County's public health coordinator. "We do not want anyone to show up at this testing site without following the requirements we have put in place. We are not going to do any health screenings at the site. It is just for testing for the virus."
As of Sunday morning, there were 3,556 positive cases of the coronavirus in Ocean County, according to the health department.
