PA Man Drowns In Normandy Beach On July 4: Toms River Police
Stanley Sierotowicz, 62, of Mechanicsburg, PA, went under after becoming tired and struggling to swim, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Pennsylvania man drowned after tiring while swimming in the ocean off the Normandy Beach section of Toms River on July 4, Toms River police said Friday.
Stanley Sierotowicz, 62, of Mechanicsburg, PA, was swimming with family at the Petersen Lane beach in Normandy Beach about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday when he became submerged in the water after having difficulty swimming, Toms River Capt. Michael Brosnan said.
Sierotowicz was pulled from the water by Normandy Beach lifeguards who began CPR immediately to try to revive him and Toms River police officers assisted until until Brick Township EMS and MONOC medics arrived, Brosnan said.

Sierotowicz was taken to Ocean Medical Center in Brick, where he later was pronounced dead about an hour after police were called, Brosnan said.
