Party Store Clearing Its Shelves After Losing Lease In Ocean County

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A popular party store in Toms River is holding a liquidation sale after losing its lease. But the owners of the store say they are seeking a new location.

Party Fair, in the Crossroads Center shopping center at the corner of Route 37 and Route 166, announced the liquidation sale on Monday.

"Party Fair Toms River LOST OUR LEASE!" the store said in a post on its Facebook page. "We are having a HUGE liquidation SALE!!"

The owners did not say why the lease is being terminated but said they are actively looking for a new site.

"The owner of Party Fair is currently looking to relocate the store," the store said. "The current whereabouts is unknown at this time. But rest assured everyone will be notified via social media and our email list once everything is locked in."

The store is popular for its wide range of party supplies and Halloween costumes.

The sale includes most of the store's inventory with the exception of Mar balloons, according to the post.

Some of the discounts are as much as 60 percent, the post said.

The closing date has not been announced.

The store is one of three owned by the same family. They also own Party Fair stores in Middletown and in the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township in Monmouth County.
