A Pause To Remember: Toms River's 84th Memorial Day Parade
The parade on Monday will honor those who lost their lives serving our country and will cause traffic detours downtown.

While this weekend will be filled with barbecues, pool parties and fun in the sun as the Jersey Shore officially kicks off its summer season, on Monday, people will come together in downtown Toms River to honor the memory of those who gave their lives for our country.
The 84th Memorial Day parade, organized by George P. Vanderveer American Legion Post 129, steps off at 9 a.m. from the rear parking lot of the Toms River Shopping Center.
Civic groups, service organization, Scouts and marching bands from the Toms River Regional schools are expected to participate in the parade, which will begin on Highland Parkway, the street behind the shopping center, and head south on Main Street before turning onto Washington Street and heading to Town Hall, where a ceremony will be held.
