Photos Show Ortley Beach Changes Nearly Two Years After Sandy
Aerials by Point Pleasant Beach photographer Bob Alberding show some progress in the hard-hit section of Toms River, how much was lost

Progress? Or a stark reminder of how much work remains for the Jersey Shore to feel like it has recovered from Superstorm Sandy?
You be the judge when you look at a photo gallery on the site Newsworks, which has published a gallery of photos of the Ortley Beach section of Toms River, one of the areas hardest hit and least protected from the storm that hit just shy of two years ago.
The aerial images from Oct. 16 are by Bob Alberding, a Point Pleasant Beach resident who has been documenting the Superstorm Sandy recovery with a drone since the early days. He publishes his work on the Facebook page RCAP/Remote Control Aerial Photography.
