Pro-Impeachment Rally Scheduled In Toms River Tuesday
The rally is one of hundreds across the country on Tuesday evening and is being led by the group Action Together Ocean County.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A group of Ocean County residents will be rallying in Huddy Park on Tuesday evening to express their support for Wednesday's anticipated impeachment vote in the House of Representatives.
The "Nobody Is Above The Law" event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the park , at the corner of Water Street and Route 166 in downtown Toms River.
Last week, two articles of impeachment against President Donald J. Trump were approved by a House panel.

The articles accuse the president of abuse of power linked to the Ukraine scandal and obstruction of Congress, alleging that Trump "has directed the unprecedented, categorical, and indiscriminate defiance of subpoenas issued by the House of Representatives pursuant to its 'sole Power of Impeachment.'"
The event at Huddy Park is sponsored by MoveOn.org.

"A core principle shared by supporting organizations is a commitment to nonviolent, peaceful actions," the organizers wrote. "All actions that are sponsored or organized on this page are intended to be nonviolent and peaceful. We expect all participants to act lawfully at all times and to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values."
The rally with Action Together Ocean County aims to show support for Rep. Andy Kim, who has said he will vote for impeachment.
