Questions On Silverton Land Deal? Get Answers At Toms River Meeting
Toms River Mayor Maurice Hill and Superintendent Michael Citta are set to host a public meeting on the plan to sell school land to the town.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River officials have scheduled a public meeting for Monday evening to answer questions on a proposal for the Toms River Regional School District to sell about 16 acres of land to Toms River Township.
The proposed sale of the land in the Silverton section next to Silver Bay Elementary School for $4.1 million aims to fill a nearly $4 million gap in the school district's budget for 2023-24. The land would become open space, Toms River officials have said.
The town hall-style meeting is set for 7 p.m. Monday, May 1, in the gymnasium at Silver Bay Elementary School, 100 Silver Bay Road.
